  • Lelon Winstead - Managing Partner

    Lelon Winstead oversees and directs all business segments for Structure. He has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, focusing on executive advisory, business and IT strategy, business-process design, project management, vendor selection and system implementation. Lelon has extensive experience across the energy spectrum including ETRM system solutions, metering/data collections solutions, and wholesale markets. He has previously performed sales and account management responsibilities across many of Structure’s largest energy trading and utility clients. Lelon holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University.

  • Alex Lago - Partner, Vice President Generation, Transmission & Distribution

    Alex Lago leads Structure’s energy and utility consulting business across the Generation, Transmission and Distribution segments. Alex has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of power system operations, wholesale power market operations, SCADA/EMS/GMS/DMS systems and system/application design and implementation. Alex established Structure's SCADA and Energy Management Systems consulting practice and launched Structure’s Smart Grid/Distribution Operations and Automation practice. Alex has delivered projects across a diverse group of Structure’s client base including transmission, distribution, retail, generation and market operator segments. Prior to joining Structure, Alex worked in roles of increasing responsibility for a leading SCADA/EMS/DMS vendor, a retail energy services company and an online exchange start-up. Alex holds BS, MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M.

  • Baris Ertan - Partner, Vice President Commercial Trading

    Baris Ertan leads Structure’s Commercial Trading business which includes the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) practice. Baris has more than 15 years of experience in the energy trading and risk management industry, including oil, natural gas, electricity, coal, weather, emissions and renewables markets. Baris has worked with a number of clients in the energy and financial services industry with a focus on business and IT strategy, business process design, vendor selection and system implementation projects. Specifically, Baris has delivered a variety of system implementation projects across some of the leading vendors in the marketplace – including Allegro, OpenLink, SunGard, and TriplePoint solutions. Since joining Structure in 2003, Baris has established a consulting team of professionals with deep industry and product expertise and a broad range of service offerings with a commitment to exceptional client delivery. Baris holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Trinity University.

  • David Shepheard

    David Shepheard - Partner, Vice President Corporate Development and Strategy

    David Shepheard is a partner at Structure and oversees the firm’s strategy practice. He joined Structure from Accenture as a founding partner in 1998 and has delivered a wide range of services across Structure’s largest energy and utility clients. David has over 20 years of experience working in global markets across the entire energy value chain including generation/production, trading, system and market operations, transmission, distribution, and retail. David’s current areas of strategic focus include realizing value from SmartGrid investments, developing asset-centric trading businesses, enabling the integration of utility scale and distributed renewable resources, monetizing the optionality of demand response initiatives, and evolving the efficiency and transparency of wholesale energy markets. David graduated from Duke University in 1991 with a BSE in Electrical Engineering and a program concentration in Economics.
