Entry Level EE Graduate

Due to the demand for our services in the marketplace, we are currently looking for entry level candidates to fill both technical consulting positions in our Energy Management and Control Systems and Smart Grid Practices at the Consultant Level.

Skills Requirements
Qualified Candidates should meet most of the following requirements:
- Master of Science or Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering
- Strong understanding of Electrical Power System Operations and Analysis
- Proficiency/familiarity with one or more of the following: AutoCAD, PSS/E, Milsoft, Power World, GE PSLF, Matlab, and CYME
- Proficiency/familiarity with SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS), Generation Management Systems (GMS), Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Outage Management Systems (OMS)
- Familiarity with Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
- Programming skills in C, C++ or Java
The candidate should also have an understanding of one or more of the following:
- Generation, Power Markets, Transmission and Distribution Engineering, Operations, Planning and Reliability
- Power system modeling and analysis for both Transmission and Distribution
- System Implementation Lifecycle
- Business Requirements Gathering
- Project Management
This candidate will need to possess the ability to work on a project team while staying focused and multi-task in a fast-paced trading environment. The candidate will also need to possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with client personnel and the project team.
Other requirements include:
- Relocation to site of initial project assignment or ability to Travel Monday - Thursday (weekly) 90% after initial assignment (relocation preferred)
- Strong experience with desktop applications in MS Office, MS Project and MS Visio
Job Description
Successful candidates will work as a member on one of the company’s SCADA, EMS, GMS, DMS, OMS and GIS implementation teams supporting a number of projects activities. Initially, the candidates will be trained to support the development and validation of the required displays (i.e., system schematic and one-line diagrams) and databases (i.e., SCADA, Power System Network Model, Generation Control) and configure custom real-time Calculations. After the candidates gain some experience, and demonstrate ability to work on other assignments, they will be assigned to other tasks typically part of these projects including gathering of technical requirements, analysis and design of new functionality, testing, release management and integration, development of interfaces, etc.
