PI Consultant

Overview

Due to the demand for our services in the marketplace, we are currently looking for experienced and qualified candidates with 5+ years with PI System Implementations to fill consulting positions in our SCADA and Energy Management Systems Practice at the Senior Consultant and Manager levels.

Experience and Skills Requirements

Qualified Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • PI Server and PI System Management Tools preferably High Availability (HA) servers
  • PI system interfaces, including OPC, ICCP, DNP3, Modbus, and other major DCS system types
  • PI visualization and client tools, including PI ProcessBook, PI Datalink, and RtWebParts
  • PI Advanced Calculation Engine (PI ACE) and PI Performance Equations
  • PI development tools, including OLEDB, PI SDK, and PI API - including Visual Studio 2005-2008 and Microsoft.NET (C# and VB.NET)
  • Other PI reporting, modeling, and integration tools, including PI AF 2.0, RtReports, and RLINK

Job Description

Successful candidates will work as a member on one of the company’s Smart Grid Implementation teams and will have the following responsibilities:
  • Plant-level DCS, PLC, and RTU systems including Bailey, Westinghouse, Foxboro, Metso
  • Real-time data acquisition and monitoring systems including SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Generation Management Systems (GMS)
  • System Implementation Lifecycle
  • Project Management
This candidate will need to possess the ability to work on a project team while staying focused and multi-task in a fast-paced trading environment. The candidate will also need to possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with client personnel, senior management and the project team.
Other requirements include:
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree required in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Ability/willingness to travel Monday -Thursday (weekly) 90%
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong experience with desktop applications in MS Office, MS Project and MS Visio
