Due to the demand for our services in the marketplace, we are currently looking for experienced and qualified candidates with 10+ years experience with SCADA, DMS, OMS and GIS to fill consulting positions in our Smart Grid/Distribution Operations and Automation at the Manager and Senior Manager levels.

Experience and Skills Requirements

Qualified Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Distribution Engineering, Operations, Planning and Reliability
• Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Outage Management System (OMS) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
• Proficiency with SCADA, DMS, OMS and GIS vendor products including experience with one or more products from the different vendors in these areas (e.g., Ventyx/ABB, Alstom Grid/Areva, GE Energy, Siemens Energy, ORACLE, Telvent, CGI, Intergraph and ESRI)
• Expertise with SCADA; Distribution Analysis applications, Outage Management System applications and GIS applications

The candidate should also have a strong understanding of:

• Intelligent Grid
• Distribution Network System Modeling
• System Integration
• System Implementation Lifecycle
• Business Requirements Gathering
• Project Management

This candidate will need to possess the ability to work on a project team – while staying focused and multi-task in a fast-paced trading environment. The candidate will also need to possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with client personnel, senior management and the project team.

Other requirements include:

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related Engineering Discipline
• Ability/willingness to travel Monday -Thursday (weekly) 90%
• Hands on -experience with SCADA/DMS/OMS/GIS vendors, Electric Utilities and/or Consulting Entities servicing this area preferred
• Strong experience with desktop applications in MS Office, MS Project and MS Visio

Job Description

The successful candidate will work as a member on one of the company’s SCADA, DMS, OMS and GIS implementation teams supporting one or more of the following projects activities depending on experience:

• Work with customers to gather and develop technical requirements
• Support the development of the customer’s Technical Specifications and RFPs
• Support the vendor evaluation and selection process
• Support the development of a vendor Statement of Work
• Support the implementation of the selected systems through the entire SDLC and including database and display development or conversion; design and build activities; system integration and testing; system cutover planning; support of parallel operations and/or trial cutover; training and documentation, user acceptance testing and system commissioning
